Intellectual Property Policy

1. Purpose

This policy explains who owns what in Diversified Check Studio: our materials, your materials, and the premium assets we license to customers.

2. Our Intellectual Property

Diversified Check Studio and its affiliates own the software, its source code, interface design, layout engine, print engine, MICR construction logic, readiness and validation logic, documentation, Knowledge Center content, marketing content, and the compilation and arrangement of all of it.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved. Nothing in the service transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

3. Your Content

You retain all rights in the content you provide, including business information, bank information, payee data, signature images, logos, uploaded artwork, and the specific check designs you create.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, and display your content solely to operate the service for you, to provide support you request, and to meet legal obligations. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to routine backup cycles and required retention.

We do not use your content for advertising, do not sell it, and do not use it to train models.

4. Your Warranties

You represent that you own or are authorized to use everything you upload, including logos, artwork, fonts, and signature images, and that your use does not infringe the rights of any third party.

5. Stock Templates and Layouts

Standard templates, stock definitions, and default layouts we provide are licensed to you for use within the service. Designs you create from them are yours, but the underlying template code, structure, and assets remain ours.

You may not extract, redistribute, or resell our templates, stock definitions, or design assets outside the service.

6. Premium Design Assets

Premium designs available through the Business Asset Package are licensed, not sold. Where an entitlement is active, you may use them to produce your own checks and related documents.

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, publish, or repackage premium designs, and you may not use them to provide design services to third parties. If the entitlement is removed, including after a refund, the license to use those designs ends.

Watermarked previews shown before purchase are for evaluation only and may not be used in production.

7. Fonts and Third-Party Materials

The software incorporates third-party components, including typefaces used for interface text and for the E-13B MICR character set, each subject to its own license. Those licenses permit use within the service. They do not grant you a right to extract or redistribute the components separately.

8. Feedback

If you send us suggestions, feature requests, or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use it without obligation or compensation. We will not identify you as the source without your permission.

9. Reference Data

Routing directory information is derived from publicly published sources and is described in the Routing Directory Information Notice. Its inclusion in the service does not grant a right to bulk extract or redistribute it.

10. Infringement Claims

Copyright claims are handled under the DMCA Copyright Policy. Trademark matters are handled under the Trademark Policy. Other intellectual property concerns may be raised using the contact information below.

11. Repeat Infringers

Accounts that repeatedly infringe the rights of others may be suspended or terminated.

12. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be revised. The Last Revised date and version number will be updated when it changes.
