1. Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how Diversified Check Studio uses cookies and similar technologies on DiversifiedCheckStudio.com and within the check printing software.
It supplements the Privacy Policy, which describes how information is collected, used, and protected more generally.
2. What Cookies Are
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and short-lived tokens held by your browser.
These technologies allow a site to recognize a session, remember a preference, or keep a signed-in user authenticated between page loads.
3. Our Approach
Diversified Check Studio uses a deliberately small set of cookies and browser storage entries. We do not operate an advertising network, we do not sell browsing information, and we do not use cross-site behavioral advertising trackers.
4. Categories We Use
Strictly necessary
Required for the service to function. These maintain your authenticated session, protect against request forgery, enforce licensing and account scoping, and support security controls such as trusted device recognition for two-factor authentication. These cannot be disabled while using the software.
Preference
Remember choices such as theme, appearance, sidebar state, and recently used workspace selections. These improve usability and are not used to profile you.
Operational and diagnostic
Support error reporting, performance measurement, and abuse prevention so that failures can be identified and corrected. This information is used in aggregate for reliability, not for marketing.
Payment processing
Our payment processor may set cookies during checkout to complete a transaction and to detect fraud. These are set by the processor under its own policies.
5. What We Do Not Use
- Third-party advertising cookies.
- Cross-site behavioral tracking pixels for advertising networks.
- Cookies that record the content of check designs, signature images, or bank account values.
6. Managing Cookies
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings, and to clear local storage for a specific site.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in and will stop core functionality such as the check designer and print workflow from working.
Clearing browser storage will sign you out, remove trusted device recognition for two-factor authentication, and reset saved interface preferences.
7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Browsers send Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals in different and inconsistent ways. Because we do not use cross-context behavioral advertising or sell personal information, our cookie use does not change based on these signals. California-specific rights are described in the California Privacy Notice.
8. Retention
Session cookies expire when your browser session ends. Authentication and trusted device entries expire based on the security settings applied to your account. Preference entries persist until you clear them.
9. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when our technology, providers, or legal obligations change. The Last Revised date and version number will be updated when it changes.
