Work through these in order. Most printing problems come from printer scaling or from the wrong check stock record, not from the design itself.
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Everything sits slightly high or low | Printer feed offset | Create or update a calibration profile |
| Everything is shrunk with wide margins | Fit to page scaling | Set printing to Actual size or 100 percent |
| Text lands on the wrong part of the paper | Wrong check stock selected | Pick the stock that matches your paper |
| MICR line is faint | Low toner or non MICR toner | Replace the cartridge and reprint |
| Blank page comes out | Wrong tray or a paper misfeed | Check the tray and reprint from history |
